Olivia Bauer, M.A., LPC

Ms. Bauer specializes in working with children and adolescents.

Children and adolescents express themselves in many different ways, and an effective therapeutic environment begins with a safe landing space and meeting them where they are developmentally. I aim to tailor each session to a client’s needs—whether through conversation or expressive art and play-based strategies that support emotional expression in ways that feel natural and engaging. I value incorporating psychoeducation into therapy, helping young clients better understand their emotions and explore how they experience and express them, and develop practical skills to navigate them.

My therapeutic style is influenced by evidence-based approaches such as CBT and DBT, which support the development of skills related to emotional regulation, executive functioning, and self-advocacy. My experience in school-based counseling informs this work, offering insight into the social and academic environments that shape children’s and adolescents’ daily experiences. My goal is to create a safe, affirming space where clients feel free to be themselves and grow with confidence and resiliency.
